Keep your equipment in top condition!
Placement of your refrigeration equipment
For a failure-free usage of cooler or freezer, the following points should be considered when deciding where to place it:
Do not place the chiller outside or directly exposed to incoming sunlight, too close to a source of heat or in a hot area
Do not place an (open) cooler in the draft of an air-conditioning system, a ventilation system or near open doors

- Make sure there is enough room around the suction grid and outlet grid for optimal ventilation of the cooling unit.
maintenance
Regular maintenance is required in order to ensure high-level technical performance of the cooler and to guarantee a long lifespan of the devices. Specific information with regard to necessary and recommended maintenance is mentioned in the users guide:
- Cleaning of the cooling installation every three months is required in order to enable claims under the warrantee.
- When carrying out maintenance work, the device should always be dead' (no current).
- Maintenance work should be carried out regularly. We advice you to put a staff member in charge of this.
- Remove the front and clean the condenser with a vacuum cleaner or a brush, from the top to the bottom. BE CAREFUL, the bars are sharp! Do this at least once every three months.
- Do not use sharp objects when cleaning.
- Clean the inside of the device with cotton cloths and/or neutral detergents; never use abrasives.
- Never clean the device with a water jet or high-pressure sprayer.
- Clean the drainage and the drip tray of the cooling installation in order to prevent water damage.
- Clean the rubber door strips with a damp cloth.
- Depending on the situation, it may be necessary to clean the vaporizer and/or air conduction bulkheads. BE CAREFUL, the bars are sharp! Please refer to the users guide for instructions.
- Technical maintenance and repair of the cooling installation may only be carried out by a people qualified to do so.
Daily control
In order to prevent problems and to obtain the most energy effective use of the cooling installation, we advice the following actions:
- Keep doors (cabinets and cold rooms) closed as much as possible.
- Never load products above the load line.
- Regularly check the temperature.
- Defrost for an extra long time in case of excessive ice formation.
Failures
In case of a problem you can check the following points:
- Is the power supply okay? If necessary replace fuses. When doing so, always make sure the main switch is turned off.
- Is the plug in the power socket?
- Is the cooler in a defrost cycle? Check the user's guide.
- Is the condenser free of dirt?
- Is the drainage free, no blockage and/or dirt accumulation?
- Has the load line been exceeded causing blockage of the suction grid and/or outlet grid?
If the aforementioned points have been checked and no improvement is noticeable, please contact KOVU BV: Telephone (074) 255 85 80, Fax (074) 243 67 02, E-mail: service@kovu.nl.
